You’ve got mail! ✉️

This week, the children were very excited to receive a postcard from Elmer while he was on his holidays! We couldn’t believe it when we read that he was in Spain, making sandcastles at the beach and swimming in the sea! Year 2 then created their own wonderful postcards, pretending they were on holiday too. They used their imaginations to write about exciting places, sunny weather and fun activities. Mrs McAuley and Mr McKenna even received postcards too! ✉️📫

In Numeracy, we have been practising our number bonds to 11 in a fun and practical way. The children worked in pairs and took turns rolling a dice. Whatever number the dice landed on, they had to work out what number was needed to make 11. The children showed great teamwork and enthusiasm while developing their confidence with number bonds through play-based learning. 🎲
