Year 1- 'Brr, it's cold!'

18th Jan 2022

We have loved creating polar lands for our new topic.  We began trudging through the snow outside and then Eimear made our very own snow with us to play in, which was great fun!  We made snowmen in different ways, constructed penguins out of toilet roll tubes and today we investigated scraping paint to create the fur for our polar bears.  In a sensory story, we pretended to be polar bears in our classroom; plodding around with fans blowing, feeling the ice (we made) splashing in the water, having cotton wool snowballs falling, hearing the other animals and creeping into a cave to sleep.🐻‍❄️
