Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively. This week, Year 5 were introduced to their new topic, “Let’s get moving”. Each group chose a leader, a recorder, a reporter and information collectors. The children worked as a team to gather clues from each station and present their findings to the whole class about their new topic. The children were familiar with the duties of each role and worked cooperatively in their groups. These group work roles were introduced to year 5 through the PATHS programme.
