Weavers or Warriors

4th Jun 2021

As part of our studies on the Vikings we researched their daily life and work. The Vikings were experts in weaving. From sails to cloaks and tunics, the Vikings would weave all their own cloth. Over the past few days we developed our weaving skills by weaving with paper and yarn. The children are also now ready for their next battle. Their shields and swords are all completed, and the pupils are ready to board the ship to stage a hit-and-run raid on unprotected Irish coastal monasteries. Beware!!
