Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively. This week in Year 1, we carried out a science experiment on absorption. We predicted what might happen the beads when we added water - would they stay the same size? Would they get smaller? Would they get bigger? Then we carried out our experiment.

We discovered that the beads grew bigger when left in water, because they absorb.

We had so much fun exploring and becoming scientists!
