Rosary Assemblies for October

14th Oct 2025

This month, Mr McGowan's Year 3 Class and Mr McGlinchey's Year 5 class each presented class assemblies on 'The Rosary'.  We heard how the Rosary is a special prayer that helps us feel close to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Here's a simple way to explain what it means:

🌟 A Way to Talk to God and Mary

The Rosary is like a conversation with God and Mary. Children learn to pray by saying familiar prayers like the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be to the Father.

🌟A Story of Jesus and Mary’s Life

Each part of the Rosary (called a "mystery") tells a story from the lives of Jesus and Mary—like when Jesus was born, died and rose again. These stories help children understand their faith better.

🌟A Special Gift to Mary

Catholics believe that praying the Rosary is a way to show love to Mary, Jesus’ mother. It’s like giving her a bouquet of prayers.
