Parenting in the Digital Era (of Children aged 0-5)
Home-Start Omagh is delighted to be hosting a talk on 'Parenting young children (up to 5) in the digital era: Practical things we can do to prioritise a play-based childhood.'
This workshop, funded by Seed Funding via WHSCT is hosted by Home Start Omagh District and is open to all parents, carers and those who work/volunteer with young children in the Omagh District.
Please join us as we bring together leading authorities in clinical healthcare and the early years space to provide current research, statistics, advice, strategies, tools and recommendations on how to parent young children in this current digital climate we are all navigating right now.
The world has moved to a digital landscape, at a very quick pace, and we as parents and those who work and volunteer with children are navigating a world that is rapidly changing.
This workshop will provide talks from a paediatric OT, Speech Therapist and Forest School Leader as well as representatives from Smart Phone Free Childhood Northern Ireland (Smartphone Free Childhood) and a Play Consultant.
This will be a safe, non-judgemental space for families to come together at a grassroots level in our local area. We want the attendees to gain information and advice on how to navigate the digital landscape and leave with tools and strategies and a desire to provide an early childhood focused on real life experiences and play as much as possible.
This is a free, funded event but you must book your place to attend:
