Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively. Measuring our beanstalks 🌱

We use non-standard units of measurement in Foundation stage to introduce children to the concept of measure. We used cubes as a non-standard unit of measurement to measure our beanstalks. The tallest beanstalk (aside from the one growing up our wall display!) was 10 cubes tall. We recorded our results in our Numeracy books. The children made some lovely pieces of art for our Jack and the Beanstalk wall display and they made labels for their own work.
