Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively.  Children are invited to ditch the school uniform and dress as brightly as possible to reinforce the Road Safety message of, ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’.   | St. Mary's 🎨 ART COMPETITION 2026 🎨 Closing date Wednesday 25th March 2026.  Entry £3.00.

Launching NESSY for home use (Year 2 and Year 3 children)

Our school is launching the award winning Nessy programme for home use with all pupils in Year 2 and Year 3.  

Nessy is a fun, interactive programme that supports children in developing their reading and spelling skills, making it particularly helpful for children who may benefit from additional literacy support.

We ask parents and guardians to please use the programme at home to help your child make progress with reading and spelling.  We recommend short, regular practice of 15/20 minutes per week.

This will help support your child’s reading and spelling journey!
