Introducing the PATHS® Programme

3rd Sep 2021

Towards the end of last school year, our school was provided with funding from the Department of Education to support the development of well-being initiatives in our school.

We invested in the PATHS® Programme (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies).  PATHS is designed for use with primary school children and its purpose is to facilitate the development of self-control, emotional awareness and interpersonal problem-solving skills.

As PATHS has been nationally and internationally recognized for excellence, we are delighted to introduce it to our pupils in St. Mary’s from this September 2021.   We hope that our whole-school approach will have a positive impact in relation to children’s mental well-being to help them build self-esteem and manage difficult emotions –so helping them to cope with life’s challenges.
