Gymnastics
On Thursday Nursery got to have a go using the Gymnastics equipment in the hall.
We had to practice our waiting so that Mrs Hardy could help us and keep us safe. First we took off our shoes and socks to give us better grip on the equipment and then we took turns to carefully climb up the ladder, onto the bench where we had to stand up tall and balance, Mrs Hardy made sure we were happy and safe. When we moved across the next bench Claire helped us to slide down on our tummy, balance on the beam and walk across to the smallest bench where we could jump off to dismount. It was lots of fun and hard work. Mrs Hardy was very proud of all of us for being so brave and so good at listening and waiting for our turn and not going on the equipment when it was not our turn.
We finished our gymnastics by completing a pencil roll and being very pointy, then we all learned how to put on our own socks (thumbs in and stretch, pop in the toes and pull) and shoes. We tiptoed back to the Nursery like little quiet mice!
