Each year in June, Year 7 children would have attended the 'Fan the Flame' Mass in Celtic Park in Derry. Year 7 pupils and staff from schools across the Derry Diocese would have come together to celebrate all of the young people who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and who are preparing to move to the next stage of their education.
This year, to mark the end of their primary school life, Bishop McKeown will celebrate Mass for Year 7s in Saint Eugene’s Cathedral on Thursday 4th June at 10.00am.
On this day, the name of each St. Mary's Year 7 pupil will be placed before the altar. Year 7 pupils and their families are invited to participate via Webcam (details will be shared closer to the time). Please note this important date and time in your calendar.
