Famine and the Workhouse Living History Workshop

3rd Feb 2026
Today the children in Year 7 were transported back to 1850 and entered the Omagh workhouse.  They were met by a very strict matron called Mrs Mckinley.  She introduced them to the strict daily routines and assigned them work.  Year 7 experienced the cruel and harrowing life inside the workhouse during this living history workshop.  The workshop ended with a very informative question and answer session.  Thank you Stephanie for bringing history to life for us this morning.
