Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively.  Children are invited to ditch the school uniform and dress as brightly as possible to reinforce the Road Safety message of, ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’.   | St. Mary's 🎨 ART COMPETITION 2026 🎨 Closing date Wednesday 25th March 2026.  Entry £3.00.

Catholic Schools Week 2023

Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated from 29th January – 4th February 2023 in the Derry Diocese.

Each class in St. Mary's will recognise this special week of celebration and will focus on the theme, 'Walking together in faith and love'. 

Our school community will join with Bishop Donal McKeown for the opening Mass (online) from Saint Eugene’s Cathedral on Thursday 26th January at 10.00am.

Other celebrations within Cappagh Parish will provide our school community with valued opportunities to recognise the value of our Catholic School.
