Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively. We have been very busy during our first term in Year 3.

During our literacy lessons, we have been word building using small, natural objects from the outside environment. We have also been learning about the apostrophe and some of it’s uses. We found lots of them in our reading books.

As part of our World Around Us topic work, we have been carrying out STEM activities and experiments. We tested for and discovered how a leaf gets water. Then we recorded our findings. We also looked for different types of leaves around our playground.

Is it any wonder we are all exhausted and getting ready for our Halloween break? 💀👻🎃
