Big Walk and Wheel Day: Wednesday 18th March 2026 On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we encourage everyone (pupils, families and staff) to travel actively to school i.e. Walk, Cycle or Scoot, or at least park up and travel some of the way actively.  Children are invited to ditch the school uniform and dress as brightly as possible to reinforce the Road Safety message of, ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’.   | St. Mary's 🎨 ART COMPETITION 2026 🎨 Closing date Wednesday 25th March 2026.  Entry £3.00.

Accelerated Reading

Please ensure your child does their Star Reading Test online by Friday 4th September. Remember it is most important that children do this completely unaided. Any adult support given will mean that your child will be likely to be set books which are too difficult and will be frustrating for them to attempt.

Once all children have completed their Star Test, we will set new targets and they can begin to read and quiz online, at home. NI Libraries has an excellent selection of online books and children can also avail of the local town library to access books to read.
