PATHS® Programme

In St. Mary's, we use the PATHS^® Programme to develop fundamental social and emotional learning skills which will enable children to make positive choices throughout life. 

There are four major factors that are addressed by focusing on:

✔️ emotional understanding

✔️ problem-solving skills

✔️ creative self-expression

1. We teach children to “Stop and Think”.
2. We provide children with experiences to help their understanding of self and others.
3. We teach children to integrate emotional understanding with cognitive and linguistic skills to consider and solve problems.
4. We encourage verbally mediated self-control over behaviours.
